Duty or Delight - End Week Six

I don’t mind telling you today as I write this post, I am stinking mad.  It isn’t necessarily without provocation.  To be completely honest, there has been more than a few things this past week that could have set me off.  But the frustrations of those things aren’t enough to get me this kind of livid.

I have just finished praying for all of you and I am absolutely furious at how the enemy has been messing with our lives.  As I prayed, I realized that it isn’t the circumstances that we are dealing with that is doing all of us in but how we are perceiving those experiences.   It’s our perceptions of what is going on that is tearing at our hearts.  The enemy would like for us to think that our lives are all about the stuff that happens to us rather then what we do with the stuff that happens to us.  We don’t fight for victory, we fight from a place of victory.

This past week with our Duty or Delight study we focused on warfare.  We learned four points on how we live a victorious life.  They were:
1) Know the battle that’s raging.
2) Know the role your identity plays.
3) Recognize and resist Satan’s attacks.
4) Stand firm in the armor of God.

I think there is no more fitting way to end a study than with warfare.  As soon as you finish any study, the enemy is right there ready to steal and destroy any headway that you have made.  Don’t let him do it to you sister.  Stand firm, don’t be moved.  Speak truth to the lies that whispers in your ear.  Know that your God is for you.  Remind yourself of your confidence boosters.  You are chosen, you are redeemed, you are promised, you are supplied, and you can do this thing.  You are victorious!

You stand firm and I will too!!

There is only one thing left to do and that is to watch the last video.  Here it is.

Well that about wrap things up for this summer.  I hope that you have learned much in your time in the Word and the fellowship that we enjoyed together.  Stay tuned to find out what we will be delving into in the fall.  Remember God loves you and He is proud of you.

Much love!
